The Evergreen Conference Committee is pleased to announce that Joseph Janes will be giving the keynote address for the 2015 Evergreen International Conference. Mr. Janes is the program chair of the MLIS program as well as an associate professor at the University of Washington’s iSchool. He also is the creator of the Documents that Changed the World podcast series. He is currently a candidate for the American Library Association’s (ALA) presidency.
Mr. Janes is a regular contributor to the ALA American Libraries magazine’s “Another Story (formerly the Internet Librarian)” column and is the author of several books and articles such as “Library 2020: Today’s Leading Visionaries Describe Tomorrow’s Library”. He co-authored “Anonymity in a World of Digital Books: Google Books, Privacy, and the Freedom to Read,” and wrote the entry for libraries in the 2014 World Book Year Book.
We are excited to have Mr. Janes as our keynote speaker for the 2015 Evergreen International Conference and we’re glad he’s agreed to be part of the conference!
