The Conference Committee is happy to announce that John Rempel will present the Keynote Address.
John is employed as a UX/ICT Quality Assurance Manager at Center for Inclusive Design and Innovation (CIDI) at Georgia Tech. John oversees initiatives related to digital accessibility and user experience (UX), including the AccessGA and Web Accessibility Group (WAG), services to Higher Ed, non-profits and industry in Georgia and across the country.
John’s background and employment in the areas of disabilities and accessibility include formal education in a number of fields including certifications as an Assistive Technology Instructional Specialist (CATIS), Vision Rehabilitation Therapist (CVRT), Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC), and User Experience Certification (UXC).
He has been a contributing writer to AFB’s AccessWorld publication since 2011. As Past President, he also serves on the board of Georgia AER, a non-profit organization that provides professional development opportunities for practitioners employed in the area of low vision and blindness rehabilitation.
