Contact

Contact the Conference Committee at evergreen-conference@list.evergreen-ils.org with any questions or concerns related to the conference’s accessibility.

Hopin

Hopin is the main platform for the 2022 Evergreen International Online Conference. This will be the central hub for all content and information during the pre-conference sessions, regular conference events, and the post-conference Hackfests.

Access to Hopin is via browser only, so you are not required to download any application in advance. Hopin can be used with standard screen reader tools. Google Chrome is the recommended browser for Hopin.

Live Captioning

During the pre-conference and regular conference sessions, live captioning will be provided by Verbit and will be delivered via direct links for captioning windows.  This includes captioning for all session presentations and lightning talks. Live captioning will not be provided during Interest Group meetings or the post-conference Hackfests.

Links to the captioning windows will be provided at the beginning of each session.  The session moderator will be available to assist with any questions.

For Attendees1

  • If you plan to speak as a participant during the conference, make sure you have a good quality microphone or a headset with a microphone to ensure that the live captioner and the speakers can hear and understand you.
  • Keep your microphone and camera off unless you are asked to unmute either.
  • Speak slowly and clearly to ensure the captioning accurately captures what is being said.

For Presenters

Please see the Tips and Best Practices for Professional Virtual Presentations page for additional accessibility considerations.
