It seems like it has been a LONG TIME coming, but the Evergreen 3.15 and Monthly Maintenance Release Teams are pleased to announce the availability of three new versions of the Evergreen open-source ILS (library management software). Evergreen 3.15 is the first major feature release of 2025 and includes support for PostgreSQL 17; a rework of item alerts, notes, tags, and templates in the holdings editor; OPAC link click tracking; a new, OpenAPI-compliant RESTful API suite; and much more. In addition to the new features, Evergreen 3.15.0 includes over 80 patches to fix bugs, address accessibility options, and more.
Along with Evergreen 3.15, we are pleased to announce the maintenance releases of Evergreen 3.14.5 and 3.13.10. Evergreen 3.14.5 includes patches that address 45 reported bugs, and Evergreen 3.13.10 includes patches for 28 reported bugs.
There are so many people to thank for these releases. At an awards show, I’d be kicked off the stage for running so far over the time allotted. So, I’m going to say thank you to the release teams (of course), with a special shout-out to Galen Charlton for his mentorship, teaching, and building related to the 3.15-beta and 3.15-rc versions. Thank you also to Terran McCanna (again, but never enough times) for wrangling the 3.15 Feedback Fest that also saw work done on 3.14 and 3.13. And thank you to EVERYONE who contributed in any way to these releases. It is never an exaggeration to say that the Evergreen ILS is a community-driven and community-developed library software solution.
