The Evergreen Project is pleased to announce the release of version 3.16.0. 3.16.0 is a feature release that includes

• Built-in integration with the Quipu eCARD and eRENEW services
• Support for staff-side SAML single sign-on
• A redesigned Kid’s OPAC
• Support for staff-only library groups
• Greater control of the visibility of organizational units in the staff interface
• Shelving locations can now be considered for hold policies
• Circulation payments can now be marked nonrefundable
• Shelving location groups are now included in the staff catalog search’s library selector
• Patron batch edit can now set notes, alerts, and blocks
• Staff-side support for patron hold groups
• Support for searching and displaying accessibility metadata from MARC bibliographic records
• New permissions for managing hard due dates
• Various usability and accessibility improvements

Evergreen 3.16.0 is available for download.

The beta release of Evergreen 3.16 is now available. Evergreen 3.16 is a feature release that includes:

The beta release is available for download. We strongly encourage Evergreen users and developers to thorougly test the beta release. General release is scheduled for November 12, 2025.

Visit the Downloads page for the most recent versions of the Evergreen ILS, 3.14.11 and 3.15.6. Both of these versions represent significant improvements with 30 bug fixes for the 3.14 series and 44 bug fixes for the 3.15 series. You can find out more about these fixes in the release notes also available at that page.

Please be aware that there will be only one more maintenance release, scheduled for November, for the 3.14 series. After that, the series will go into the “security updates” phase of its lifespan.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the most recent Bug Squash Week. Not only do feature releases benefit from this work; maintenance releases do as well. Thank you to Terran McCanna of GA Pines for her invaluable work wrangling this event.

And thank you to this month’s release team of Andrea Buntz Neiman (Equinox), Michele Morgan (NOBLE), Gina Monti (Bibliomation), Blake Graham-Henderson (MOBIUS), and Martha Driscoll (NOBLE). Without them, these releases wouldn’t have happened and the resultant overall quality of the Evergreen ILS would suffer.
