CONSORTIUM DIRECTOR MISSOURI EVERGREEN CONSORTIUM (MEC)
Independent Contractor, 25-40 hours per week

Manages operations of Missouri Evergreen
Supervised by the ME Board of Directors
Flexible, remote work schedule with periodic travel to ME, current and prospective libraries, and, if needed, to state, regional or national conferences and events
Responsibilities include:
? Create annual budget in partnership with Chair and Treasurer
? Maintain member fee schedule
? Grant Writing and reporting
? Contract Relations
? Be lead contact for ILS Management Company
? Prepare agenda and packets for board and membership meetings
? Attend committee meetings as needed
? Meet periodically with State Library to update on consortium activities
? Be lead on Recruitment/Migration projects
? System management/support/Development Coordinator
? Member relations with strong communication skills
? Virtual Meeting (Zoom) proficient
Supervisory Responsibilities
No supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Qualified candidate should be knowledgeable of accounting principles and business management. Individual should have knowledge of and be proficient in library management software (Evergreen preferred), office suite software, email, and internet searching abilities. Ability to read and interpret documents such as policies, procedures, and instructional
manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Grant writing experience is a plus. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or consortium member libraries.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; and at least two years related experience and/or training. Experience working in a library is required. Masters in Library Science preferred.
Pay & Benefits
Hourly rate of pay will be $24-28 dependent on experience and qualifications based on a 25-40 hour per week flexible remote work schedule. Former Library Directors with consortium experience are encouraged to apply.
