The State Library of North Carolina and The Library of Virginia are co-hosting the first ever Southeast Regional Evergreen Conference (SEREC). This conference is designed specifically for front-line library staff.
It will provides an opportunity to
- get together with library staff from other consortia and libraries who use Evergreen
- attend formal presentations
- participate in focused round table discussions
- discuss topics of common interest
The initial target group for the conference was the states of South Carolina, Virginia, North Carolina, and Georgia. As we have given our library staffs enough time to register for the conference, the conference is now open to others who may be interested in attending or presenting.
The conference will be held on October 8 and 9 at the Holiday Inn North Raleigh Hotel and Conference Center, 2804 Highwoods Blvd, Raleigh, North Carolina 27604.

Proposals
The Southeast Regional Evergreen Conference Committee is also accepting proposals to present at the conference! If you feel you have something to share, please submit a proposal. Speakers fees and funds are available.
The conference is organized by format type and focuses upon three general tracks – cataloging, circulation, and reports.
Possible presentation topics include:
- Cataloging
- Buckets, Vandelay (Importing/Exporting)
- Circulation
- Fees and Payments, Holds, Searching
- Reports
- Beginning and Advanced topics
